The photograph that I call Canandaigua Dawn was taken at Onanda Park on the west side of Canandaigua Lake. An overcast day and certainly a calm gray seemed to enhance the reflection from the metal dock on the shore, I shot it with a super-wide-angle lens. I printed it on KODAK ENDURA METALLIC Paper; the metallic finish of that paper really enhances the finish of the metal railing. Essentially a black-and-white scene, I print it very slightly warm, bronze-like in cast and that perhaps adds to an invitation to visually stroll down the dock ramp to view another morning light on the lake, calmly, peacefully starting another day. I have printed the photograph in several sizes, the 20×30-inch print with a wide matte and metal frame has been one that I enjoy exhibiting as an example of large print capabilities, framed at 36×48-inches. The large photograph recently sold after it was seen by the purchaser at Edibles Restaurant. For some years Image City Photography Gallery has exhibited photographs at Edibles, a fine restaurant just west of the Gallery.
